2011 was a fulfilling one. being a part of mohawk 09/11 intake was the best thing in life. being part of section 4, just like a family.
yesterday was our POP day, the fateful day where we tossed our jockey caps high up in the sky. before i marched out from the bay, i looked around, i realised it's time to embark on an entire new journey in our remaining months of NS as we are all going to leave BMTC. and to all my fellow platoon mates, all the best! :D

i don't mind a simple 2012. drama is the last thing i want in my life. i'm just as mundane as can be.

phew. approximately 4 more book outs to POP! wooosh. simply cant wait. but actually, it doesn't make much of a difference though. there's still a long way before ORD. ive been pondering over my career opportunities after ORD, or should i continue to pursue a degree? i mean, let's just face it, growing up isn't just about having fun. going through different phases of life, we need to make future plans and decisions that might make us regret it sooner or later. count the lucky ones if they manage to bingo their life all the way. my rate of sucess always twinkling at the single digit.

too lazy to count how many days more to POP. but i've got a bad feeling for my field camp. really bad feeling.
PTP phase is soon coming to an end, time really flies. imagine my agony before enlistment, having to spend my 20th birthday right on my enlistment date. how funny life twist you around like a fool and yet it seems to have better plans for you.
i miss dressing up, my fingertips across my hair roots, pushing up with hair wax on my hands and end it off with a spray. oh well, halloween night to USS anyone?

was trying to recall when was the last time i actually take proper pictures. as you know, dslr isn't exactly the kind of camera you would like for self portrait. i used to go around with vanecia, taking pictures of random stuff(that includes ourselves) around singapore(actually, mainly town)
i miss those times whereby we can laugh at what we are doing under the public eye. weird stares and awkward laughters. not knowing what to do. i can still vividly recall how we went to buy a cup of coffee from starbucks and started taking silly pictures of ourselves behaving like international models.(we weren't even using proper cameras) guess we'll never do stuff like that again.

but still, i enjoy taking pictures of my friends and myself. be it individually or in a group. because when we look back, the first thing we are going to laugh at will be "WHY THE HELL DID I WEAR THAT KIND OF STUFF OUT" *laughs*

anyway, had an awesome day out with the usuals yesterday! didn't manage to take much pictures because i didn't bring my camera out. speaking of it, im thinking of getting a compact camera because dslr is such a pain especially when mine is super duper heavy and impractical to carry it around.

gonna get my ass back in camp real soon. 13 more weeks more! :D

i never expect there will still be anyone reading this tiny space of mine. not that i no longer wish to pen down my thoughts but rather my life is not worth writing at all. july was my last month working in depression. mixed feelings, it has been more than a year, definitely going to miss my bosses, my colleagues(mostly ex-colleagues) and my customers. i've been through quite a number of obstacles over the year, big and small ones.
Parting my school, the place where brings me 3 awesome friends whom i know they will always be by my side even though we haven't been seeing each other since lovell's birthday. they have each found a job, behind the desk, striving for a brighter future. well, i am still lazing around waiting for my enlistment which happens to be on my birthday(8th of september). how i hope 2 years wouldn't be too long.

if you are still here, im thankful.

wanted to watch this months ago but havent got the time to download the torrent, so i chanced upon it while tv-hopping. was feeling really unwell as im down with flucoughandeverythingnasty.

enough said, earthquake-people died-cries&screams-the end.
nope, it's not. instead, it actually shows how the surviors carried on with their life. what happened to the handicaps? what happened to the widow? what happened to people who lost their only kin? oh well, life still goes on.

basically, it's about this mother(refer to above picture) losing her husband and her daughter(assumed) in this tangshan earthquake. she was faced with the toughest decision in her life that ignites her everlasting sorrow and eternal pain.

both her son&daughter was trapped under a concrete slab, considering the support she got during 1976, she has no choice but to choose between saving her son or daughter.

she did insist she wanted both but under the pressure of the workers, she made up her mind and chose the son.
and her son lost his arm in this earthquake.

(so, her daughter survived but she had no idea)

and so the story goes on...

anyway, i found it really touching.

son: mom, why not you find a man and get yourself a company?
mom: not that i lack of suitors, i just refused to.
son: why? you cant possibly stay a widow forever right?
mom: i'd have died if your dad hadn't pushed me away from the falling building. for a man who gave up his life for me, it's fair and rightful for me to only have him in my heart and no one else.

and her daughter beared hatred because she overheard her mom's decision under the slab. it's only after much of a coincidence that she met her brother and decided to visit her mom.

the part where they digged out the grave(supposingly for the daughter) and found textbooks for every semester.

son: every start of the semester, mom bought your set of textbooks too.
daughter: squat down and started crying
mom: what happened?
daughter: i hate myself for having the selfish thought! i should feel happy that my brother is alive instead of blaming you for not saving me. he's my brother too.

there are more classic lines that i teared on but these are the few that i can still remember. it sounds better in chinese because they said with their infamous accent. HEH.

anyway, i know it's a long and boring post. thank you if you are with me even till this last fullstop.

so, since tumblr is currently facing bugs invasion, i shall spare some time to do a really short update about hongkong. there isn't much stuffs i could talk about since the pictures are more or less the same. aged cafes/tea houses, rundown building, street names, taxis and buses. here are some of my favourite shots! my life has been pretty mundane. repeating the same cycle everyday. constantly not watching my diet and indulge myself in gaining all the extra pounds! HOORAY! i'll be short and fat!

a moving book that describe the giddy rush of adolescent love. casual sex, pure love and tragic characters emotionally engaged and flow perfectly well in this book. i'm reading it as slowly as i could so to savour and absorb the gist of what love is all about.

there's this phrase whereby i particularly like,

oh, so we went to USS this tuesday which was really impromtu. had real lots of fun that day but i guess im kinda bored there because that was my second visit to USS. i realised the funniest thing, 2 roller coasters are ready but yet i didn't ride them cos lovell is afraid and i don't think it's nice to let her wander around alone.

and i did my first jumpshot there. woah it was fun!

our days being together are numbered. after our last paper on 3rd of march, huahua and lovell are both heading back to china. well, i'm not very hopeful about van as her priority is her boyfriend. so let's just enjoy our remaining days together! :D

oh god, im not going for retest. what a waste of time

my total percentage for the common test is 8.2/20

so, even if i went(and passed) for the retest(capping at 50/50), my overall percentage will be 10/20

after my meticulous calculation, i've decided not to go for retest! BAHAHA

today is super funny, saw my lecturer in the lift. he saw me and said, "wow, your dressing so stylo hor, are you in the design course?"

this christmas, i actually received my first sabrina goh! OMG! unbelievable!

it's not like i'm constantly talking about her label. that was the only time i told them, and they remember.

aww... that was sweet. but i have to say i kinda have mixed feelings. well, i'm always the one getting scolded if you havent realised. BAHAHA. (wait, daen please don't tell them hor!)

so edgar got a shades from hide&seek. ydee got a bag and necklace from actuallyactually. yika got a necklace(that weighs a ton) from blackmarket. lala got a bag from furmuse.

:D it was indeed a merry christmas!

we had our dinner at ps cafe along ann siang hill. the ambience was great! nice food and cakes. so far, one of my best christmas party!

daen joined us for our party. well, he is going to be singapore next model. HAHAH! :D

talking about model, i got so pissed that day while i was shopping in river island. this group of fillippino next top model tried the earrings that are placed at the rack. i got so pissed and i told them off! i even pointed to the board that wrote "for personal hygiene, no trying of earrings".

seriously wtf?! then, the staff approached(as i guess my voice was kinda loud). she said that the maids ought to buy them cos she already tried it on. truth is, she is a maid enjoying herself outside since it was christmas eve and she got off days. she got no money to buy a 65.90 earring.

okay, immediately i felt pretty bad because i was kinda nosy. ): but they are really annoying by blocking the way and i swear they just KEEP trying the earrings. it was really unhygienic.

well, i didn't know what happened after that cos i left after buying a bag!

er... why am i talking about this when im supposed to blog about christmas? oh whatever. HAHA!

this is available at LIANG COURT! alright sis bought this weeks ago. according to her it's the healthier version of maggie mee. why? because the mee is not grill/fried, it still got the flour flour texture! so i pressume it's fresh! ohoh, it comes with a packet of miso!

i've got no pictures to upload. basically, this space has been rather dusty recently.

all my besties know that im super duper scared of cats!

during dinner today, there's this stray cat(which i suspect has got BIG BALLS), it pounced on one of the table(hello, got people eating halfway you know). i totally chua sai!

i was like O.O

praying my chanting mantra " not here please, not here please, not here please".
so one of the very kind malay decided to carry it away, gently put it on the floor.

within 2 seconds, the cat pounced on the table again!! gombling any food in sight! super brave right? OMG! then the granny got so fed up, she totally grab the cat by it's fur and flick it off.

a starving cat is a scary cat. me? hahah. im scaredy cat! MUHAHAHHAA.

hmm.. i wanted a tattoo real bad. not beause it's a hype. not due to peer pressure(i'm totally against the idea when van, hua and lovell got theirs 2 years ago).

i wanted it(refering to the picture i found) because i fall in love with it the moment i see it on my dashboard!

it's a tree.(not a normal tree)

it's a picture of a withered tree(drawn in a comic/cartoon way)

that comic/cartoon way is really a turn off(to others, like my sister and my friends).

somehow i got influenced. bah. im so useless.

lovell was saying if i really want a tattoo so bad, make sure it's of something personal, something that holds a strong belief in me.

met up with joy, ben and april on saturday and we watched MEGAMIND! i think i really like cartoons, because no matter what, the villain will be punished and good will eventually triumph over the evil!

he got bankcrupt and his wife left him for another rich man. he told me that his wife owns 5 beauty salon now. super fucking rich but refuse to help him when he was down.

so, he went to take up courses to be a cab driver. now he earns extra hard to make a living.

he told me that he is living alone. without any kin not kith. ):

after i made my payment, just right before i left, i said.

was going through my USS photos and realised my expired film snapped. wtff!!!! seriously, there's something wrong with either the film or the camera! (trying to say that it's definitely not my fault). BAHAAHAHA. okay, i did experienced some problems installing the film, so i went to the 'dark room' in USS. that lass assumed that she could do it, so im okay to let her give her very best! the photographer(who i assumed to be professional) wanted to offer her help. but she declined(confidently) saying she was totally in control. alright, happily i took about 5 shots (shrek, donkey, cloud, roller coaster, my shoes) TADA! the film got snapped.

and nope, i'm definitely gentle while rolling the film. though im excited to see shrek.

so, diana is currently sitting inside my accessories box. thank god for the light-weighted. it is still useful as a piece of accessory. *roll eyes*
